National Energy Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (NEC) owns a fleet of 10 harbour tugs that provide towage services for all ports in the Gulf of Paria, oil exploration/production companies with pipe-laying operations, anchor-handling, rig relocations, load-out and standby operations.

NEC is interested in expanding its fleet of vessels and as such hereby invites proposals from interested parties for “THE DESIGN AND BUILD OF TWO (2) HARBOUR TUGS” to support and expand its local and regional operations.
REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) DOCUMENTS
RFP documents can be downloaded from http://www.ngc.co.tt/dpub/rfp/NewBuilds.tif or collected at NEC’s Head Office located at Corner Rivulet and Factory Roads, Brechin Castle, Couva, Trinidad upon presentation of receipt indicating payment of Tender Fees. Documents can be collected between the hours of 8:30am and 3:00pm weekdays from 9th November, 2009.
The closing date for submission of proposals is Monday 30th November, 2009 at 4:00pm. Bids are to be deposited in Tenders’ Box “B” located in the Lobby of NEC’s Administration Building at Corner Rivulet and Factory Roads, Brechin Castle, Couva.
