BIS Talent Retention Scheme for BAE Systems staff recruitment opportunities

BAE Systems, who announced a major redundancy programme in November 2013 are keen to promote its employees to gain re-employment in the UK marine industry, especially in the Marine and Engineering sectors where BAE Systems skills are most transferable.

In order to facilitate the connection between BAE Systems employees and local marine businesses a database of employee details and CVs has been created which can be viewed online and accessed free of charge.

The database is part of the Talent Retention Scheme (TRS) initiative which is a highly effective tool that supports both manufacturing and engineering companies and their employees.

The database now contains over 480 BAE Systems employee profiles from their Naval Ships business area who have all voluntarily placed their personal details and CV's on the TRS system with the hope that suitable companies can match their vacancies against the significant skills that they offer.

These registrations include all of the maritime industry manual worker trades e.g. Welders, Platers, Steelworkers, Mechanical Fitters, Electrical Fitters, Outfitters, Joiners, Painters and Pipeworkers.

They also cover a host of Operations and Supervisory Management employees and all Functional Support areas such as Finance, Manufacturing Engineers, Programme Management, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement and Commercial employees.

Companies are invited by BAE Systems to contact these employees directly for immediate or future employment opportunities.

In order to access the TRS system you will need to register your company and receive your personal 'login' details.

This should take place within 24 hours of you completing the request. To start this process, please follow the link:

When you first gain access to the system please go to the 'SEARCH PEOPLE' tab and look for the menu option 'Corporate Redundancy Programmes' where BAE Systems is listed as an option.

If you're also interested in becoming a full member company of TRS, please contact the TRS team at support@wincon.co.uk.

The TRS system has a wider database of engineering and manufacturing individuals to source from and allows member companies to advertise all their vacancies as part of the annual membership. Membership is free for any company with under 250 employees.

If you would like more information about the available BAE Systems employees then please contact Paul Schofield, Gillian Thoma on 02392 724694.
