Resources and Training Standards to develop a strong Marine Renewable Energy Sector, 15th January 2015, Southampton

Southampton City Council and the University of Portsmouth are hosting this free ‘Channel MOR’ event to support the growth of the marine renewable energy sector. The event will present new tools developed by the Channel MOR project, a cluster of Marine Renewable Energy related projects, for businesses looking to access marine renewable energy (MRE) markets.

This event is also a great networking opportunity for sharing experiences amongst MRE suppliers and education and training providers. In particular, we will cover skills needs, education and training standards, MRE resources and funding opportunities.

Key note speakers will include John Barrie Chair of the Global Wind Organisation Training Committee, Siemens, the GRETA Région Havraise, Renewable UK and many more.

Channel MOR is a cluster of Marine Renewable Energy related projects which have been selected under the Interreg IV A France (Channel) England programme.

The project aims to support small businesses in accessing MRE markets and provide the Channel area with greater networking opportunities.

SMEs, Industry Lead Bodies and associated training and education providers serving the marine renewable energy sector are very welcome as well as public sector partners wishing to support this growing industry.
