The Powering of Ship in Port - the Pros and Cons of 'Cold Ironing', 28th January 2015, London

SMI are hosting this seminar which gives attendees the opportunity to hear the views of regulators, ship operators, ports and suppliers of power equipment about this environmentally sensitive subject with significant business consequences.

Speakers include:

Mr Simon Zielonka, Fleet Director, Marine Operations Royal Caribbean International Cruises will consider the situation and future developments from the perspective of the ship owner and operator.

Mr Jeremy Rogers, Sales Engineer - Cavotec UK will review and consider the pros and cons of 'Cold Ironing'.

Mr Masao Yamasaki, Associate Professional Officer, Marine Environment Division, The International Maritime Organization will outline the environmental regulatory and legislative drivers pushing the changes.

Han Ozturk, Director, Nectar Group and Chairman of the PTG Council will chair the seminar.
