The EU referendum - What does it mean for business? 25th May 2016, Winchester

The North Hampshire International Trade Forum, a networking group for businesses involved in international trade, is organising with the University of Winchester Business School, a debate on the impact on businesses of the UK in or out of the EU question.

Businesses and individuals are invited to this International Trade Forum event at the Winchester Business School.

The EU Referendum is fast approaching. With the 23rd June looming, politicians, business leaders, and the wider public are having to pragmatically consider whether they believe the country should Remain a member of the European Union or Leave.

This event is being hosted in collaboration with the British Chambers of Commerce; delegates are invited to listen to the speakers and debate their views on the Referendum with other business leaders.

The event will be chaired by Ashley Shackleton, Head of Public Affairs for the British Chambers of Commerce. Also in attendance will be a speaker on behalf of both the StrongerIn campaign and the Vote Leave campaign.

Hampshire Chamber of Commerce has taken the decision to remain neutral in this debate and is focusing its efforts on the sharing of information and the gathering of intelligence. The British Chambers of Commerce has similarly committed to neutrality and so the International Trade Forum hopes to collect 'at the coal face' employer experiences of the European Union, explore what impacts the EU has upon business, and gather evidence of business leaders' attitudes towards the present debates.
