PATCH (Seawater hydraulic power transmission)...

This project has completed.

The project reached the conclusion that seabed hydraulic power transmission would be unlikely to achieve cost parity with electrical systems for most likely wave and current energy deployments. This is mainly due to the high cost of pumps and turbines, which fall outside the range of available machines.
