WP1 seminar – January 27, 2010

The seminar for the dissemination of PROTTEC Work Package 1 was held at the University of Plymouth on January 27th, 2010.

The seminar brought together an Anglo-French audience looking at the differences in regional innovation strategies between the 4 regions involved in the project: South-East and South-West of England, Brittany and Nord-pas-de-Calais.

The study was lead by the Marine Institute, University of Plymouth team and the report highlighted three common objectives in the 4 regional strategies:

* Promotion of innovation culture and entrepreneurship spirit
* Development of competencies relying on innovation within SMEs
* Support to enterprise competitiveness at the international level

Identification of these common objectives will enable PROTTEC partners to present to local innovation stakeholders and policy-makers the strategic common areas on which our regions could jointly develop new projects.
